The brief
What hiLina needed
hiLina is an AI CFO for small business owners and for the investors and CFOs who watch them. It connects to a company's books and bank, tracks how long its cash will last with a measure called the Cash Shot Clock, writes a weekly Brief and answers questions from the numbers.
Its launch release needed a data foundation the founder could trust, with every answer traceable to its source and period, ready for a public launch in October 2026.
VantaSoft leads delivery, working alongside hiLina's own engineer.
What we built
What we built for hiLina
-
Layered data architecture
Raw, canonical, derived and audit layers, so every figure can be traced back to where it came from.
-
Text alerts
Lina texts owners when cash falls below a floor or the business changes tier, plus a Monday check-in, with every text logged.
-
Answers from the books
Questions answered straight from the database, each with its period and source labeled.
-
Memory and goals
Conversation memory and a goals record for each company and user.
-
Three-tab dashboard
The past, the present and the next two weeks at a glance.
-
History on connect
Three months of P&L when a company connects, 24 months loaded in the background and 12 month-end balance sheets, with restatements kept.
-
Signup and portfolio view
Self-serve signup with email confirmation and password reset, and a one-screen view across a portfolio of companies.
-
Release pipeline
Daily staging deploys and at least weekly production releases.
Results
What it changed
-
Every number traceable
Answers name their period and source, so an owner can check the figure behind the advice.
-
Accepted by the founder's own tests
Each deliverable counts as done only when the founder's own test passes on staging, not when the code merges.
-
Shipping every week
Friday demos each week, daily staging deploys and weekly production releases.
